  • Dates (pitted)
  • Assorted dried fruits and nuts (walnuts, almonds, peanuts, etc., according to taste)
  • Kunafa (knafeh) pastry sheets
  • Heavy cream or milk (according to preference)
  • A small amount of butter
  • Dark or milk chocolate

Preparation Steps

  1. Blend the dried fruits and nuts until a smooth and homogeneous paste is obtained.
  2. Add a small amount of heavy cream (or milk) and mix until the filling is well combined and holds together.
  3. Take the kunafa pastry sheets and fill them with a small quantity of the prepared filling.
  4. Wrap the dates with the filled kunafa pastry and shape them as desired.
  5. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave.
  6. Dip the kunafa-wrapped dates into the melted chocolate until fully coated.
  7. Decorate with crushed nuts or shredded coconut, according to taste.
  8. Allow to cool until the chocolate hardens, then place in the refrigerator before serving.
